Current prayer requests

1. Pray that the men, women and children in our shelters will find eternal hope and joy in the glorious resurrection of Jesus Christ.

Every holiday brings some measure of sadness to those who have lost their home and family.  Pray that the men and women in our shelters will turn to Jesus Christ, who loves them intensely, died to purchase their forgiveness and rose again to show them He has conquered death and hell.

2. Pray that we can find ways to cut the operational costs of our thrift stores.  

Our thrift stores struggle with the same problems that other businesses face in the declining ecomomy.  An important part of our outreach is being able to provide clothing and household items at  very reasonable prices, and give away around 50,000 pieces of clothing every year in Kokomo. 

3.  Pray for Cynthia Burch, co-author of "You'll See Jesus on My Face."

Cynthia, a former resident of Open Arms, has told her incredible story of redemption to KRM board president Riley Case.  "You'll See Jesus on My Face" was Cynthia's reply to someone who asked her how they would recognize her when she arrived at their church.  It is a story of God's grace helping her to overcome a lifetime of drug addiction and other extremely destructive issues in her life.  The book was released on February 11. 

Pray for Cynthia's faith to be strenghtened as her story becomes public and she speaks at churches and at women's events.
